Au revoir 2012, Bonjour 2013

Happy New Year!

It’s that time of year again. For businesses as for individuals, the New Year is an ideal time to look back on past achievements and set new targets. In January 2012, I was reflecting on a year of rewarding and challenging assignments (FR) which showed the diversity of my freelance work.
Now, as 2013 gets going, it's natural to look back again.

In late 2011 and 2012, I focussed mainly on developing an online presence, e.g. choosing a business name, creating a website and learning how to write for the web. As well as setting up and maintaining business partnerships in Scotland and abroad, 2012 saw the launch of a Facebook page for Amend in Style Translations.

In 2013, I will continue to interact with colleagues and clients through social media. As I’ve just been asked to write contributions as guest blogger, there should be more on that in the near future. Also, when work is really busy, I sometimes find it hard to leave my desk and meet people. So this year, I plan to do more networking.

Until the next post – or who knows, networking event? – I hope 2013 is a successful one for you and your business!
