A great translation service

"Great job, thanks Amandine!" has to be my favourite feedback from clients and I hear it a lot.

Many clients looking for a regular collaboration generally prefer freelance professionals over agencies for their attention to detail and availability.

Because I run my own business, dealing with service providers tends to make me reflect on my own practice and I do my best to treat clients the way I'd like to be treated as a client.

Here's what you can expect from me

 Professionalism
I offer professional services and take client feedback on board to continuously improve the quality of my services. Every client has different needs and part of professionalism for me is to listen and work out how to best meet those needs. I'm a member of 3 professional associations which means I know a thing or two about codes of conduct.

 Quick reply/Free quote
All enquiries are dealt with within 24 hours - urgent requests often get a reply within a couple of hours. If the source file is attached in the initial email, I'll send a detailed quote with a breakdown of costs on the same day. If my availability is limited, I'll make sure I send the client a quick email to let them know when the quote will follow. And my out of office autoreply will let you know if I'm not around.

 Free information/advice
I can't take on every single project but if I have to decline an offer, I'll do my best to find a solution for clients, for example recommend a colleague. Also, my emails always include as much information as possible. If I receive 8 pages but only 5 are required for the client's purposes, I'll let them know and explain why.

 Quality assurance
I read, research, translate, check, revise, proofread for a living and I've got pretty good at it over the years. I find the smallest typos or inconsistencies in source texts and work hard to produce high quality translations. I spend a lot of time polishing translations so they fully satisfy the brief: marketing/corporate communications, legal and official documents, tourist attractions, websites or CVs. Don't take my word for it, see what my clients have to say here.

 Timely service
I've been a freelance translator since 2007 and never ever missed a deadline - that's a lot of deadlines!

 Adequate follow up
The service doesn't end when I hit 'Send'. I'm happy to explain my approach or stylistic choices, discuss preferences and suggest alternatives if required. Clients are always pleased with my translations so this doesn't happen very often but it's good to know the option's there if you still need me after I've completed a job for you.
